Light IS A CONSTANT SOURCE OF AMAZEMENT
Inevitably, light and shadows create
events within the landscape;
they play out spontaneously,
often fleeting and magical,
never repeating in the same way.
And I have always been intrigued by
how these elemental forces of nature,
the patterns and changing seasons
shapes land and sea.
My Workshops
In a way that reflects your own style?
Do you want to loosen up and play with colour texture and shape?
Where technical drawing and painting skills take a back seat?
My new Oil and Cold Wax painting workshops offer a unique way of creating
light, contrast, texture and complexity.
Mixing bees wax to oil paints gives you
the ability to build many subtle layers, allowing
you to incorporate lifting off, scraping
and many more processes in an instant.
The results are stunning!

“Bev ran the workshop in a friendly and professional manner and was extremely helpful in explaining and demonstrating the processes involved. It is a very interesting and versatile medium to work with and even though a beginner in using Oil and Cold Wax, I was able to produce work that, by my standards at least, was very satisfying”

About Me
I am a mixed media landscape artist who lives
and works in Somerset. I graduated with a Fine Art
Degree in 2014 and since then, I have sold and
exhibited in London, Hertfordshire, Cornwall and
Somerset. I also run Oil and Cold Wax painting
workshops in Somerset.
My current work is inspired by the Cornish and
Devon coast as well as by recent visits to Spain
and rural Italy.
The relationship between science and art frequently
influences my process in the studio and I reconstruct
what I see through a creative dialogue between
the physicality of light and the materiality of paint.
